At Kidizens camps, children are age-appropriately partnered to build their dream LEGO cities and presented with numerous opportunities to grow self-confidence and leadership skills by problem-solving in face of real-life civic and economic challenges, in order to form a well-functioning society.
In line with the Kidizens philosophy, the Young Leaders embark upon a guided discovery of real world lessons and strategies, through role-play in a highly interactive environment, while building critical skills such as teamwork, problem solving, critical thinking, written communication, public speaking and of course leadership.
Kidizens’ Fall and Winter LEGO camps have multiple options, from shorter 1-day city-building camps to in-depth 5-day camps! The lengthier option enables kids to immerse deeper into their fun civic leadership experience and their mayoral responsibilities.
What to Expect at Kidizens Camps:
We make learning fun! Campers work in age-appropriately grouped teams to build entire functioning LEGO cities while addressing the growing needs of their LEGO citizens! Throughout the day, the campers are engaged in LEGO city building interspersed with thought-provoking discussions, problem-solving and brainstorming sessions, as well as exciting games, quick quizzes, role-play opportunities and more!
9am: Drop Off + Morning Meeting
9:30am: LEGO Building and collaboration as city teams
10:30am: Snack Break
10:45 am: Meeting & Group Discussion
11:15am: Building and collaboration as city teams
12pm: Lunch Break with Outdoor Play Time
1:00pm: A fun topical quiz/game!
1:30pm: Discussion and final building time
2:45pm: Final meeting and project presenting opportunity
3pm: Pick Up Time
5pm: After Care Pick Up Time
