Young Kidizens Fall

Learn To Play. Play To Learn. Learn To Lead.

Day3

We continue to be excited about our Young Kidizens program as a perfect beginning to the Kidizens program. Our unique constructivist framework of city-building, role-playing and social learning enables groups of younger students to take on a guided discovery of real-life concepts. While the overall concept and experiential learning philosophy of Kidizens runs through all problems, our curriculum for the “Young Kidizens,” is designed specifically for the target age group of 6-7 (and young 8’s), with the goal of simplifying many civic and economic concepts and bringing them to life with many play-based elements.

In their first semester the fun, highly collaborative, play-based interactive experience of building an entire city of LEGO begins! The Young Kidizens will explore age-appropriate civic topics and meet lots of special LEGO guests! They will work together to build a city from the ground up, learning about the world around them works and functions. Over the course of the session our students develop important social emotional skills such as cooperation, empathy, conflict resolution, creative problem solving, and more!
