In-Person Summer Camp FAQ

2021 Kidizens In-Person FAQ

Here are a few things we would like to highlight in order to answer a few questions about our in-person activities this year.

Note: Until further notice we will continue to require that all participants and staff wear masks at all of our in-person locations. All of our staff is fully vaccinated.

What Covid precautions are being taken this year?

All participants and staff are required to wear masks at all times during indoor in-person activities. We also provide plenty of hand sanitizer so kids can sanitize their hands throughout the day as needed. We are committed to providing a safe and healthy in-person environment for all participants and staff.

Will teachers and counselors be vaccinated?

Yes, all of our counselors are fully vaccinated.

Will Kidizens be providing snacks this year during snack time?

We will not be providing any snacks or other foods at Kidizens this year so please make sure your child brings their own snack and an easy to carry lunch for camp activities.

Will parents be allowed to enter the facility?

Yes. If parents are fully vaccinated and masked they will be permitted to enter the facility. In order to keep everyone safe, we will only be allowing a maximum of 5 parents or family members into the room at any time. Thank for you understanding.

What is a 2-week camp and how is it different from a 1-week camp?

During the second week of a 2-week camp, the Young Mayors continue to build the city they started in the previous week. Both older (ages 9 to 12) and younger (ages 6 to 8) campers will take on new age-appropriate challenges that dive into a deeper level of civic understanding than could be covered in a single week.
